Cyclopes 2004

Cyclopes is a real time tracking system and GIS for marine mammal research.
Data input can be by theodolite, binoculars, camera, GPS, acoustic software, text files or keyboard; from a land or vessel based survey platform.
Cyclopes also has some data analysis tools such as database and GIS functions as well as replay and temporal information utilities.

Cyclopes was developed initially as a theodolite tracking system at The University of Newcastle as part of a joint project with NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, and The Southern Cross Whale Research Centre, called the Cape Byron Whale Research Project.
